First, check the terms of service and the merchant’s return policy.
Look for your receipt, bill of sale, or verification emails that may detail the return policy and procedures. Or, take a look at the merchant’s website. Is there a policy page? Many retailers have specific steps that must be taken in order to return merchandise.

Second, try an alternate method of communication with the merchant. If you’ve tried calling, find other ways to reach out. Does the company list an email address? Does the website have a contact form? Send a message to the customer service department. Or, see if you can find the business on social media.
